Just had a slightly surreal experience which has made there being a baby inside me a little bit more realistic! Little Pip had been kicking up a storm for a good couple of hours, and half our non-stop... and although feeling the ickle thing wriggle is wonderful it does wear you down after a while- it's kinda like having rumbly bowels or something... or like you insides are being kicked in to be honest :D hehe... so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I stood up and rocked side to side... and hush hush hush went the baby :D Here's to hoping it will be that easy once it arrives into this mad mad world :D hehe....
BTW.... for all you young hot mummas (or soon to be mummas) out there.. superdrug have got Huggies baby wipes buy one get 2 free!! :D Works out to be less than 80p a pack :D BARGAIN!!
And I may have decided "to buy" rather than not to thanks to a wee shopping spree on Kiddicare.com hehe... muahahahahaha.....
Toodles!

To buy or not to buy...
I feel like I've got to that stage in pregnancy where I'm questioning myself over whether I should be buying stuff that I see for ickle pip, or whether I should wait some more... just for pregnancy's sake as what do I do once I've bought everything? Also, if I buy everything now then I'll just keep buying stuff, so maybe in some way I'm saving money, which is always good when you're FOREVER saving up for a car!
However... we have bought the big things... BUT for the money saving reason :D hehe... ma and pa bought us our pushchair from Mr. Tesco because mummy (in her supermarket awesomeness) had tons of tesco vouchers to double on baby and nursery stuff :D so we had to use them whilst they could be doubled and knock a nice bit off the price tag! Of course, once we had it we had to unpack it and try out all the add ons etc... was quite funny watching my dad and Davey Babes trying to unfold it... they should have just left it to the master childminder Shell, as we worked it out in the end :D Then they made me practice taking on and off the car seat, and moving it around hehe... it's now up in the baby room (or what will EVENTUALLY be the baby room once it's no longer the "in between" room). I did feel slightly stressed out by it, as I was a bit naf to begin with.. but as I said then, I've still got 4 months to practice :D hehe...
We also saved money by ordering our nursery furniture set from Argos. We got a BARGAIN!! One of their nursery sets (white) which I loved was £100 off in their sale.. AND... thanks to all the freebies you get when pregnant I had a £50 off nursery furniture sets at Argos! It has a cot bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers, so we're vair vair happy! We ordered it about a month ago now methinks, and it's a good job we did get it in advance as they called yesterday to say delivery would be delayed due to stock issues.. so we won't hear anymore till July 19th, so who knows when it will actually arrive! So being a bit premature is good! I'm quite excited about getting it and setting it all out :D will then be able to store away the bits and bobs we do have!
On another note I think ickle pip is going to be a shy thing (hopefully a very chubby shy thing) as they never wiggle and kick when I'm around anyone else (apart from Hubby of course), and then today they were having a big old party, so I tried to record it on my phone (as you can see my belly moving- is pretty cool really!) but every time I had my phone out (and I attempted to catch it at least 4 times) they stopped, and then once the phone was away they started going crazy again! Cheeky thing :D They must have x-ray vision in there or something!
23 weeks today! 17 weeks to go! Doesn't seem very long at all.... scary mary...
Here's a pic of bump from yesterday... I love these pics because my bump makes me look like Little Miss Slender :D lets hope my bump disappears once baby appears and I stay so :D hehe....

The wonders of pregnancy!
I have just come across the greatest part of pregnancy- besides the juicy baby growing inside me....
MATERNITY JEANS!! :D
The comfiest things alive!! No jokes!! Think I am going to wear them the rest of my life :) I bought two pairs from New Look for under £25 thanks to money off and student discount :D The pair I have on today are "supersoft":) it's like wearing pjs :D hehe....
This discovery has made my ever growing self more positive! Been feeling a bit down the last week or so, getting so worn out getting dressed in terms of trying to find clothes that are comfy other than my stretchy dresses! Not only am I growing a bump on the front but all bumps and lumps and humps are growing, making all things more difficult! If anyone tells me I look lovely I laugh before saying... "Ooooo thanks" :) hehe... I often have the Black Eyed Peas song "My Humps" in my head :D hehe.... been a while since I've sung that :D All this growth is especially frustrating as I've only put on just over 1kg since being pregnant instead of the average 4.5kg... so maybe it's just moving from north and south to the middle! Hehe...
I do quite enjoy the challenge of finding outfits though... it's like my own real-life dress up game :D.... though recently my outfits seem more and more mumsie.....hehe... here's a few of mine from the past 5 weeks! And you can see my wee bump too!
Here is my "official" 16 week photo:
Fitting in "normal" jeans thanks to button extender :D (very useful purchase!)
Leggings are going to be a pregnancy essential methinks!
Then the sun came out! Was very happy that this skirt fitted no probs! Though I don't think it will much longer! :(
My rather larger 20 week self:
Disguised it well in this one! Think it's because it's still rather low down:
And finally a glimpse of the most wonderful supersoft maternity jeans :D
Here's to getting bigger every day and being a mumsie in every way :D
I think the phrase "Keep Calm and Carry On" is going to become very poignant!

Only the brave...
I overcame my fear today and watched an episode of One Born Every Minute- the second in my lifetime. The first episode that I watched a year or so ago mentally scarred me, but today's experience was better, despite nearly crying twice :D
But watching it has made me decide I'm going to pray everyday for a panic free delivery on baby's behalf! I can handle pain and weariness but don't want little Pip to feel any of it! It has also made me think that I'm going to definitely take the ignorance is bliss route! :D You only get one chance to go into it with no expectations, so gonna make the most of an 'uncomfortable' situation!
Here goes... 20 weeks to go....

Spoke too soon..
Just typical! Baby has just started kicking up a storm :) hehe....
Was funny....
I was sat in a somewhat relaxed position with my hand on my belly and Davey Babes was sat at his computer... and then... kick.. "Dave I think the baby's kicking"... kick... "It's kicking"... kick.. "THE BABY'S DEFINITELY KICKING!!" Hubby thought it was hilarious and rushed over and just caught one of them :) think little Pips gone back to sleep now though!
Today is a good day :D

When will I see you... again- well approximately 20 weeks :)
We're halfway there!! CRAZY!! Had my 20 week scan today and baby passed all the tests- saw its heart (all 4 chambers), its iddy biddy kidney, legs, knees, feet, hands and brain! Oh! And diaphragm! Lots of stuff! She was finding it hard to get a good look and measurement of its legs as Pip had them squished up to its chest. She was about to give up when it did a full 180 flip and had its legs "akimbo" as she said :) So at least someone was having fun with all the moving around because it makes me a wee bit nauseous hehe :D
Felt no real distinguishable "kicks" but I always can tell when its sleepy and still and when its live and kicking! So I'm not too worried!
Got myself a wee bit nervous about the scan today (inherited the major worrying gene from mummy- but is probably every pregnant lady's choice of mood!) so was very grateful that everything still continues to be perfect! I have been blessed very much with an "easy" pregnancy! The only real problem now is that I feel quite lightheaded and woozy at times, but it's expected at this time of pregnancy! Had to sit out of moving rooms around with Dave, ma and pa yesterday. Felt a bit bad incase they thought I was pulling the pregnancy card out! But they understood :D
So because everything went so well today, we won't be seeing little Pip till they decide to come out into the world! It's gonna be much bigger by then methinks! Do have a fun glucose tolerance test at 28 weeks though because daddy has diabetes! So it will be fun fasting for over 12 hours when I'm that far along.
Will upload some bumpy fashion clothes pics soon!
Lots of love from Bethy and little Pip! xx

To the business of food!
It has been FOREVER!! My only excuse is that I've been doing nothing since my exams and uni life finished :D which is a most enjoyable feeling!
But I thought I best share some part of my recent life with you, so why not food :D hehe...
But before that here is a picture of my finished dissertation- a huge accomplishment even if I do say so myself!
Ta daaa...
Magnificent isn't it :) 60 pages of intelligence- that's my hope anyway! Got to wait just over a month to find out!
My first food picture to show you is as follows...
For those of you who know not what these heavenly delights are, they are Pizza Express' dough balls :) this was my first pre-exam meal that I had with Christophe in Leeds- and it was most delightful as it had been such a long time since my last Pizza Express meal :D I sent the above photo (Davey Babe's favourite foody) to the hubby to maybe brag... just a wee bit :D hehe... I got the reply, "Jelly :( xxxxx". Hehe......
Now for my 'Uni life is over' meal :) again had in Leeds with the bro, straight after my last EVER exam :)
This is a most delicious bacon cheeseburger and fries AND A&W rootbeer from the most wonderful Johnny Fontaine's burger and shake diner :) we were most impressed :) had a most scrummy peanut butter milkshake! Think we shall be going back there for my post graduation meal :)
And finally....
A box of Nestle's "Dairy Box" :) was £3.50 instead of £7 which was most pleasing unto me! I think they are my favouritist chocolates :) lots of yummy pralines :) me likey likey! Plus it felt like I was indulging myself, treating my ever aching pregnant body! I tell you, I may be only 19 weeks, but my insides already feel very squished, and it seems like the ickle tyke is always awake :) the last couple of days at least! Don't think it's kicking per se, but there's definitely movement of sorts! Fun fun :D
Shall do another blog soon :) Promise :D
