The Comforts of Trashy TV

I'm ill... still... which doth not pleaseth me the least bit...
To put it lightly, I think I have the Niagara Falls in my head, and lets just say, it hasn't stopped running :( Mansize tissues don't seem so manly anymore :( *sniff sniff* My nose is red raw from all the wiping :( sadtimes....

Well there are 3 things that have always seen me through the MANY colds I have had in my somewhat short lifetime...
1. Lucazade (preferably not the original flavour :( )
2. Galaxy Ripples
3. Daytime Television

Today I have only had number 3- but don't feel sorry for me- Dave got me 2 cream cakes :D yum yum... and cooked tea :) so 1 and 2 were kinda taken care of. Although if I'm still feeling this rough tomorrow, I may have to resort to them (and what a sacrifice that will be! hehe....).

I LOVE daytime tele and all its trashy goodness. This love goes all the way back to my childhood :) I remember being like 8 and being super excited when I was off ill because I got to watch all the education kids programmes, and Bargain Hunt... yes that's right... Bargain Hunt, with Mr. Dickenson, and his orangey faced self... and there was also the other orange guy Dale Winton, and Supermarket Sweep- I would actually DIE to be on that programme- I would be so super awesome on it with my ma! Woop woop....

Daytime tele is a bit more dramatic nowadays though- plus there's all the extra channels... so the options are really and truly endless.... So I thought I'd give you a wee peep into my day, and tell you of the few wondrous things I watched this morning and afternoon...

Firstly... Maury... now this is pretty much Jeremy Kyle on steroids!!! NOT EVEN KIDDING!!! The drama was IMMENSE!! It's very very american- but giddy aunt did I love it... I'll give you one piece of the crazy drama- there was this guy, who was the father to 6 kids (all under like 3) to 3 different women- all at the same time!! And they didn't know about each other!! Was CRAZY!!! Anyways... you shall just have to watch it-it's on Sky Living in the mornings :)

Next there was Jeremy Kyle- not so exciting, but still very much enjoyable... can't really remember what happened- I may have drifted off to sleep during this...

Then there was Loose Women- which I LOVE to HATE!! Feminists drive me crazy!!! Just imagine if there was a programme called Loose Men, where they were as rude as these ladies-oh wait a minute... Top Gear ;) hehe and I actually love topgear WAAY more!! Anyways...these loose ladies weren't too bad today- actually made me giggle a wee bit... but yeh...

My love of TV most definitely extends to the evenings- but that's a WHOLE other post- I am a tv series junkie... HONEST!!!

So I shall love and leave you... and go eat some ice cream to drown my sickly sorrows :) and :( xx

  2. I LOVE these programmes too!!! But haven't watched them recently- when are they on? You can't beat Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury!! I used to rush home from school so that I wouldn't miss Murder She Wrote when it used to come on before kiddies afternoon tv came on- I used to always be able to guess who the killer was as it was always the most unlikely and random person!!
